3. Not entirely a loss, Bibi DID build two apartment complexes in the Roosevelt room while unattended.
When Obama returned, Netanyahu said the duplexes had always been there and always would be.

5. hazing in stages - perfect
“It was awful,” the congressman said. One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House phone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

8. The Prez has been quoted as saying he was going to the residence to have dinner with
Michelle and the girls.

Today I read that Michelle, Mrs. Robinson, Malia and Sasha have been in NYC all week on spring break.

Heh.

9. I really don't understand the logic of the Israeli government at the moment.
Their position is now officially "we don't give a flying fuck what anybody says", and they act it out blatantly and completely unashamed, even in the face of the people who they are receiving donations from. Really weird. I wonder if they have thought this through.

21. That's the problem when you have to cater to right wing religious zealots
Your policy becomes irrational. Israel needs the US and the Arab countries to deal with Iran. They were making progress with the Arab countries in dealing with Iran. Now in addition to sticking their finger in the US's eye, they are sticking in the Arab's eyes too which only strengthens Iran. That's why happens when you have to cater to ultra-nationalist and religious zealots as part of your coalition. Plus Bibi is obviously pretty right wing in his own right.

I think the US is trying to bust his coalition.

14. Perfect...
...a fitting rebuke, after the untoward way they treated Biden when he visited Israel recently.

About time we had a President who is willing to throw it back at them. Where the f*** do they think they get their $3B/yr for military anyway? Are they really gonna keep biting that hand?

Well I guess they were, since they never had any consequences for doing so.

Well now, there you go: consequences. They humiliated Joe Biden and now they get to have their noses rubbed in it. Ha ha!

No I am not anti-Israel, but I am anti-arrogant pricks.

22. Egregious Israeli policies against the Palestinians undermine the security of our troops.
They continue to degrade and destabilize the entire region. Without a Palestinian state, Israel may find itself in an untenable situation. Israelis need to come to grips with this. They can't turn back time. They'd like to, but they are just mucking things up. I think they've been trying to do this since the 1800's. It's just too tragic for words.

We have a severe conflict of interest here. We cannot continue with business as usual.
