Newt Gingrinch says Dems must take responsibility
for the violence directed toward them because they brought it on themselves with thier ramming through this Health Care reform.

Shame on him and Shame on NPR for giving one more jackass the podium to spew hate, lies, and encouragement to those who wish to do harm.

"I'm sorry for what I did, but you should just shut up instead of provoking me. You know how I get."

God Gawd, somebody put this emm-effer in jail!

4. Bush rammed his illegal war down our throats...
among a number of other heinous things, yet oddly enough, Democrats/liberals managed to peacefully protest and remain civilized. Why do these old, used up, irrelevant Republicans keep coming back to spew nonsense? Is this the best they've got?

5. Exactly what I thought when I just heard that news spot - shame on NPR
why do they give unchallenged airtime to this shit? That guy is so manipulative with his language and they didn't play any sort of counter to his nonsense.

8. All this "ramming things" down and through and whatever...
Just speaks to the sadistic fantasies that the republicans have. They are always talking about getting things shoved or rammed down their throats. Then we have Limbaugh constantly talking about bending over and grabbing his ankles. They are some twisted bastards.

11. What a dumb statement.
Violence is never deserved no matter what a politician votes for or against. If you do like it vote against them, to call someone and wish they or their family harm is just wrong. I hope the FBI finds some of these people. People need to get over it. This is now the law of the land.

14. When will the right take responsibility for losing '08 in the first place!
Edited on Thu Mar-25-10 05:17 PM by CommonSensePLZ
That's what this is all about, they still can't accept that they lost to Obama, or rather that they got spanked by him 2 to 1 in the electoral vote. When Kerry lost in '04 I didnt go out and get a gun or a copy of "Guerrilla Intimidation for Dummies," I asked "ok, how could Kerry lose when the whole world despises Bush and the American right?" and I actually accepted that the way he ran his campaign and how he allowed himself to be stripped down by Rove's Swiftboating and accepted that maybe he wasn't the right choice anyway.

The right is getting too arrogant, if they try to escalate violence and civil war Sarah Palin, Gingrinch, Beck and any of the other empty-headed, far-right sociopaths promoting this bull won't be here fighting it with them, they'll be on a plane first class to Cuba (maybe Palin will go to Russia). If they think the last economic downturn was bad, well, a second civil war won't help us, capitalism's gonna be one of the first things to go and they really have another thing coming if they think we're just gonna let them kill and destroy and not fight them back.

But before it comes to that we need to protest and put more pressure on these people who are trying to incite this crap; Fox News, Sarah Palin any other elected officials need to have a message sent to them that what they're doing in unacceptable. They're abusing the 1st and 2nd amendments of free speech and gun ownership and encouraging domestic terrorism, and when the law comes knocking on their door for them we can't allow them to play the victim, we can't let them lie to the public that they're being 'silenced' when in actuality they're just douchebags and criminals being subjected to fair justice. That's what I think anyway.

He lost his house speakership for rhetoric like that. It's time for him to say goodnight and I hope he takes Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann with him.

20. Newt can speak for himself. He can start with his own responsibilities.
He can't tell anyone what responsibility they must take.

What is HIS stand on using violence and threats to achieve his aims?

If he supports it, he's a terrorist.

No one in the Democratic party that I know of is advocating OR defending such actions.
