On drilling
Should we be shocked or surprised? No.

We do not have politicos in DC who are left wing, or right wing, in some basic economic belief. What we have are Neo Liberals. Many of us told you folks that Mr. Obama was not a liberal in the old sense of the word. We even told you that he was quite center right. In fact, we even told you that he was NOT our first choice, nor was HRC.

So now we all act surprised?

Par for the course, in a neo liberal economy opening these grounds for drilling makes all the sense in the world. I am sorry, but if you think that this is over, I have a bridge to sell you.

There will be more, as neo liberal thinking requires these things to happen, as well as of course the logic of Empire.

So to those of you who are so shocked, well my sympathies...

To those of you who defend this... well... we will not agree that this is the right thing to do. But you will learn what the true meaning of neo liberal policies is as time goes on. Suffice it to say, you are not included at the top.

Ah the Age of Morgan... the parallels are just damn frightening... and it don't matter WHO or WHAT party is in charge. There are some things that just have their own logic, and the only way to change them means you and me, and at least 1\3 of the country, to be engaged. That ain't gonna happen any time soon.

1. Same folks who say it's a 'bargaining chip' saw no need for a Single payer or PO chip to pull HCR

negotiations to the left.

Folks are really jumping through flaming hoops of non-logic to explain why this is such a great idea.

2. That's what true believers have to do
I know why those two were not in the bill, apart of the neo liberals in DC, and that was the whip count. This is partly whip count too, but it is also ideological.

3. Yes. We were never going to get single payer, but so long as AHIP was at the table...
single payer should have been. Or something like that.

5. Unfortuantely that is not how politics is played
it is a zero sum game, not about fairness.

4. I'm a single payer guy but I think that this may be a reasonable proposal
since we no longer have 60 senators, even counting traitor Joe, we need to do something to get a (R) to vote with us or we get nothing.

Sorry, but I see the glass as half full here.
