And Obama's approval rating stands 5 percentage points higher than Reagans on the same day in office. 50% to 45%. On day 736 of Reagans presidency his approval rating was at 35% and ended with a 56% approval.

2. and considering Obama's doing more good than harm

unlike Reagan, and he's having to fight the money power every step of the way (despite his deep compromises) rather than being its lackey like Reagan, and considering how good the money power has become at manipulating public opinion, it's really quite impressive. Soon if it hasn't already the wagering should begin as to whether they carve his face on Mt Rushmore -- or rather, how long before they do it.

And we can still pray they take Reagan's name off of every institution that has been disgraced by it. I for one request my plane tickets not take me through that airport in DC, however pleasurable it is to join with the legions of others who have spit on the Reagan sign. (I really did see someone do this one time).
