Palin will "pursue" a presidential bid in 2012 if it's the best way to help everyday people

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/04/21/palin-on-2012-if-its-right-then-we-will-pursue-that/?fbid=VP2LgjjHQ1T#more-100619

<snip>

In an interview with "100 Huntley Street," a daily Christian talk show based in Ontario, the former Alaska governor said she "doesn't know politically what is next for me."

But Palin said she will "pursue" a presidential bid in 2012 if she decides it's the best way to help everyday people with their challenges.

...

Palin said she and her family have had an "exciting and full ride" since the 2008 presidential campaign ended. Her travels around the country over the last year and a half, she explained, have given her a glimpse of some of the struggles that regular Americans face every day.

"If I can help provide some encouragement, some inspiration, some hope for them to get through their battles and make good decisions and get through a challenge, because that's what we've been able to do, then I am going to stay focused on that," she said in the interview, set to air next week. "Whether that's on a local level in my own little town of Wasilla, or in the Oval Office, if it's right, then we will pursue that."

Palin said her next move depends, in part, on what God has in store for her.

"I do believe that it is a wise thing for us to put our lives in our Creator's hands," she said. "I put my life into God's hands and say, I'm going to do the best that I can every day to bring positive change to people that perhaps need some help. Need opportunity, too."

"That's what I'm going to do, day to day, not necessarily knowing what will bring to my family, to my country, to my life, in the next year, two years, three years down the road," she added.

31. Tbaggers and Palin's new mantra is that they are not hateful.
Saw on Fox news yesterday that tbaggers unite thru hope charity and love. They compared tbaggers to civil rights movement.

What a joke. All they have is negativity, division and hate.

will help a lot of people, I bet.

I hope she runs, too. Not that it should be necessary, but keeping her reputation as a failed Mayor and a failed Governor out front would certainly not be favorable to rational, thinking people, at least. There are many details behind her that they can try to cover-up, but it won't be easy.

14. Palin's definition of "the best way to help everyday people with their challenges"
"the best way to help everyday people with their challenges" = an increase in Palin's bank account.

Give until it hurts, idiot freepers. And then give some more. Sarah doesn't care about you. She's proven it time and again, but you people are too stupid to figure it out. She proved it when she kept lying about that "bridge to nowhere" story during the campaign. Still don't know that story? Go check it out, she didn't say "thanks, but no thanks" end of story. There's more to it.

Palin proved she doesn't care when she boarded her bus and left people standing in line in the cold to get autographs from her on her book tour.

She dumped on the people of Alaska by abandoning her responsibilities half way through her term as governor. Yes, that was a good thing for the people of Alaska, but not in the way Palin means.

Palin is now a multi-millionaire due to your donations, freepers. She is spending the majority of the SarahPAC money ON HERSELF. Keep giving, idiots. Sarah is enjoying her lavish new lifestyle. She can now look down on all the Joe Six Packs and rejoice that she's better than all of you, she has money.

Idiots.

17. if she runs, I'll happily donate a little money to keep her in the race...
...ESPECIALLY if she runs on a non-repub ticket! Yes indeed. She's WAY better than Ross Perot for hijacking republican voters! And like a former Green Party candidate that I otherwise have great respect and admiration for, Sarah Palin is way too selfish and ideologically narrow to do ANYTHING for the greater good of the philosophies she supposedly represents. Her joining the 2012 election will be a disaster for the republican party. I just hope she runs independently, so the full force of her destructiveness can unhinge the right wing most effectively.

with the boundless self confidence that comes from being incapable of recognizing one's own limits who is starting to believe his or her own PR.

The only compensation for the rest of us is that the dizzying rise to prominence is usually accompanied by an equally dizzying descent.

"Palin said she and her family have had an "exciting and full ride" since the 2008 presidential campaign ended. Her travels around the country over the last year and a half, she explained, have given her a glimpse of some of the struggles that regular Americans face every day."

That exciting and "full" ride has included travel around the country on private jets, paid either by the organization paying her 100K for her half hour speech or by sarahpac, which out of the 400K it has taken in the first 3 months of the year has given $9500 to candidates and several hundred thousand to "consultants."
I don't see how she is able to glimpse what real Americans are facing when her speeches are closed to the non-paying public and any questions she answers for her paying audience are all pre-screened.
How can a candidate for a presidential run be considered viable when she won't give a press conference, doesn't give interviews to any publication not considered conservative, communicates through facebook and quits her elected position to rake in millions of dollars on the speech circuit?

There are enough thinking people who already don't think this woman should be allowed on the White House lawn.

If she tries to dodge any serious delving into her views and policies the rest of the population that aren't the 33% dead-ender 33 will laugh her out of whatever venue she may be speaking at.
