would love to have others join me, as I know I'll get slammed with all the local teabaggers' flames. My sister's family live in the Northport, Huntington area, and are in a small minority of liberals there. My 14 year-old niece, a passionate little liberal, says that it's really hard having practically no friends who aren't Republicans. She says she can't wait to move to "the city" when she's old enough so she can have some like-minded neighbors!

Keep an eye out for these Patch sites to pop up in your community and help represent the progressive viewpoint, otherwise they'll be overrun by the screeching minority. (Anyone on Freecycle ever notice how many "Christian" and RW materials are offered? Maybe it's just my groups, but I almost suspect it's an organized push.)
