6. And we are surprised by this? And Mrs. Greenspan's
bringing in old Ronnie is hilarious. Do people forget the man was half asleep in the second part of his presidency? I was a kid so I remember it, we all made fun of old doddering Ronnie.

8. The media made up its mind about Obama before he was elected.
Or rather, its mind was made up for it by its corporate masters. How can we be surprised?

12. They're Showing Him Whose "Boss"

The corporate media demands it! The fact there's oil gushing is all his fault...he should have had it stopped by now...the beaches all clean and the cavalry ridden to the rescue. Cause he isn't grabbing a bullhorn from atop a pile of tar balls well then he just doesn't care. And don't dare be too critical of BP as if doing so mean "passing the buck". Those out for a pound of flesh are piling on as this slow motion disaster continues.

Mrs. Greenspan is a hypocrite...what else is new? Yep, her hero Ronnie was the cause of this mess...creating the idea of "government being the problem" that ushered in the era of "too big to fail", "Corporate consolidation" and shrinking government down the bathtub. Where's Mrs. Greenspan's outrage over her drinkie-drinkie and dancing pal Crashcart cheney's secret energy meetings that opened the door to turning the MMS into a oil industry enabler that she's now trying to blame President Obama for.

I have my criticisms of how this administration has been pushed around by BP, but its hands have been tied...tied by the previous regime and 30 years of "deregulation" that allowed corporates like BP to get bolder and bolder as the booosh moles within almost every government agency continue to do damage. These people should have been rooted out and now they're destruction is starting to come to the surface.

Letsee...I don't recall Raygun running to Lebanon after the barracks were bombed (due to his arrogance) or with his "boot to NASA" after the shuttle disaster (all I remember was a token eulogy read from a teleprompter) or sending any assistance or even saying boo while the Chernobyl reactor was melting down. I can go on how detached "the cowboy" was about many major events of his "administration".

The corporate media feels it calls the tunes now...and seeing on how many have picked up on their memes, who can argue?

14. the pattern
Edited on Fri May-28-10 02:55 PM by William Z. Foster
When there is more left wing talk from the public and unrest and dissatisfaction, which happens when the investor class screws the public over in a particularly obvious or egregious way, there becomes a danger that Democratic party politicians might actually go to bat for the working class people and clip the wings of the wealthy and powerful. At that point the Democratic party politicians must be preemptively attacked. Half of the public will then rally to the defense of the embattled Democratic party politicians, and this breaks the momentum of public anger and divide and conquers the working class people.

The right wing think tanks and mouthpieces, on behalf of their corporate owners, want us to stop focusing on the way that corporations are screwing us over, and instead spend our time rallying to the defense of our heroes against absurd and spurious "charges" and waste energy in nonsensical partisan bickering, all created out of thin air by the think tanks and propagandists.

The right wingers are going to be dangling bait - making shit up about Obama to see if we will bite and argue with them about whatever idiotic things they make up and throw out there.
