I could use some help in information gathering
I called Sen. Franken's office today and told them I felt news people were being denied access to the Gulf.
I am going to talk to his staff tomorrow and would like to be able to give accounts that have been on-line.
I know some have been posted on Du and probably others on-line somewhere.
If you know of any could let me know, it would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Angry Dragon

1. Ed had a Mayor on and they were discussing it. The Mayor said he will give
any Press member credentials to go out with him any where they want to go. During the show, the FAA called and informed Ed that they did NOT have any flight restrictions in place over the area. Maybe BP is just telling people they do?

Anyway, it seems that they are aware of it, and it will be interesting to see if Obama insists on going to the real sites during his trip tomorrow. I can't help but believe he's furious about this.

This morning on Thom Hartmann, first hour, a marine biologist was on and she was talking about areas being restricted. He probably has a link to her at his site, so you could contact her and get some info to give to Franken.

2. There's the stories about wildlife pictures

being denied

Here's one from USAToday reporting limited media access to wildlife
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2010/06/oils-gruesome-toll-on-wildlife-slowly-emerging/1

Then there are stories over at MotherJones which I put in this thread
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=103&topic_id=539645&mesg_id=539645

Mother Jones has a reporter out there who is constantly being denied access. I posted a few in the above thread but there are many more at MotherJones site.
