Who are the 22% of Americans who view BP favorably?
Hint: They are Similar to Tea Party Demographics

Citing a Rasmussen poll Greg Sargent took note of yesterday, which indicated that 22 percent of Americans currently have a favorable view of BP, Barbara Morrill at Daily Kos asks who these 22 percent of Americans are.

Using the crosstabs from the poll (premium account required), I put together this chart to answer Morrill's question:

Those most likely to view BP favorably are, respectively: Republicans, conservatives, Americans over age 65, whites, and males. Those least likely to view BP favorably are, respectively: liberals, blacks, Democrats, Americans between the ages of 18-29, and females. .........(more)

6. We need polls.......
We need polls of people in fishing and tourists jobs the directly effected. We need polls of strong GOPers local bankers for example who we would expect to vote GOP but since they have loans on homes made out to local fishermen and tourist workers they should be terrified.
After all who will pay top dollar for beachfront property next to an oil spill?
I want to measure the learning curve of GOPers when its their butts on the line but its not obviously their butts on the line.
We need to chart how deep the stupid is if we wish to change minds.
