Florida DUers
I noticed the Rick Scott ad where he says people should deal with his present and forget the Medicare Fraud. Truly I was in a state of stunned incredulity. Can you explain how he can run for office.

Scott's Columbia/HCA Pled Guilty To Defrauding Medicare And Paid A $1.7 Billion Fine

Columbia/HCA Investigated For Medicare Fraud. According to the New York Times: "Officials at a number of Federal agencies began investigating whether Columbia hospitals engaged in practices such as fraudulently overstating their expenses to increase their compensation from Medicare, and regularly conducting unnecessary blood tests. Last week, law enforcement agents raided Columbia offices and hospitals in seven states, seizing documents related to business practices."

Evidence Collected In Columbia/HCA Investigation Included Documents "Stamped With Warnings That They Should Not Be Disclosed To Medicare Auditors." According to the New York Times: "The government began a civil investigation and obtained critical evidence: second sets of cost reports and worksheets maintained at HCA hospitals that contained significantly lower expenses than in reports submitted to the government. Some of those documents were stamped with warnings that they should not be disclosed to Medicare auditors."

1. He can run for office 'cause he has loads of money. From what I'm
hearing, from both sides really, he's a non-entity. His mess with Columbia/HCA impacted a lot of people. His ego, btw, is as big as his pot of money. Pubbies want Rubio, and that's it. Meek most likely will not be supported by the National Dems. His numbers are not good and it looks like they're going to help Crist. I wish I had a link to attach but most of this was from conversations and a couple of blurbs in the Palm Beach Post and northern Florida papers....

6. Yeah, I love the one where he says he supports Arizona's law
and will try to implement it here. He immediately angered most of the Hispanics in the state and a lot of them are quite rich. (and there's a lot of Cubans... who, as long as they make it to land, are given immediate amnesty and are allowed to stay) :eyes:
