President Obama slammed Republicans Saturday, attacking them for not moving fast enough on an economic recovery bill.

The president says the bill would extend unemployment benefits and enact tax credits for first-time homeowners.

"Republican leadership in the Senate won't even allow this legislation to come up for a vote," Obama said in his weekly address.

The bills Obama referred to didn’t win enough Senate support.

1. Maybe if he had concentrated on job creation instead of a useless healthcare bill
We wouldn't need to keep extending unemployment.

His misplaced priorities are biting us all.

3. And yet the repukes have no problem spending money on
two useless wars... just as long as they don't have to do the fighting and can send someone else's kids to die.

4. They don't care about people, they care about money......
for business. This crap about taking away from something to spend needed money on is their way of acting like they know what fiscal responsibility is all about. As you said, they don't have a clue.
