Jenna Bush's bikes swiped from garage

BALTIMORE, June 20 (UPI) -- Baltimore police say they are investigating an apparent break-in at the home of Jenna Bush that cost the former first daughter a couple of bicycles.

A department spokesman told the Baltimore Sun the mountain bikes were stolen from the garage of the South Baltimore row house owned by Jenna Bush Hager and her husband.

The theft appeared to be the work of common thieves who likely did not know the home was occupied by the daughter of former President George W. Bush.

"There is no intelligence to suggest that this residence was targeted because of who owns it and who lives there," said police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. "It looks like a very minor residential burglary."

4. Investigating? Most folks can't even get a report taken on petty theft. Must be nice

to the the wealthy, connected spawn of an internationally reviled war criminal, sometimes.

7. quality bikes start at 4-500 so it could be over a thousand...

that`s not petty theft. hell the insurance value on my two bikes is around 900. course i did`t pay that much...pawn shop specials.

So the value of her bikes would be what they're worth at a yard sale, on CL, etc, not what it would cost to get them at her LBS.

- and I don't understand all the bashing of political children here. If it was Chelsea Clinton's bike or any bike belonging to a Kennedy, the responses would have been entirely different.
