Poll question: Did Cut and Run McChrystal sass the Prez in public on purpose?
Edited on Tue Jun-22-10 05:51 PM by elehhhhna
Do you think this is his "get out of a losing proposition" move?

1. Of course it was on purpose. The question is why now?

4. Might want to run for Prezzie for the repukes. I don't believe for a
second he voted for Obama. Just said it to make it sound good. He has an agenda, no doubt about it...OR....he was just over-served..

5. I can take you one better
I feel like he purposefully led Obama into supporting a losing mission for political gain for his party. Now, he is about to dump the whole mess on Obama's lap and get his earthly rewards from his benefactors.

10. And, would his benefactors be...for one, Cheney?
If he's stripped of his retirement, it will be interesting to see what his next occupation happens to be and how long it takes him to sit down at a new desk. I have a feeling this was planned. It is too blatant.

Obama should know better. He laid HIS career on the line by appointing these neocons to try to appeal as someone who was willing to reach across the aisle.
Reaching across the aisle is all well and good--problem is, there is nothing but cannibals on that side of the aisle who are bought and paid to chew him up and spit him out.
Obama should have surrounded himself with people he could trust--not leftovers from the worst administration ever.
He does have a responsibility in this too.

6. Without question it was on purpose...
and at the risk of sounding like I need a tin foil hat :tinfoilhat: I do wonder *if* anyone else was involved. I know it sounds crazy but it almost seems like a set-up. It's put Obama in a no win situation. He fires Mcblabber mouth and he's gonna lose Afghanistan (Dem's are weak meme), he doesn't fire him he's weak and can't control the military. It seems so tidy.

Also I don't trust that he voted for Obama, that's just way too easy.

:putting-on-tinfoilhat-now:

7. Not only that
but he HAD to know that this interview and his comments were suicide to his military career.
Putting Obama in the position to have to fire a General in the middle of a war is not good for the country--yet I almost think what he did was treason.
Pure and simple.
It isn't like Rolling Stone is a conservative magazine.
He strategically targeted his audience for his drama.

13. If this was done during the previous administration...
Cheney would have taken the person hunting. And we know what happens when you go hunting with Cheney.

I don't know why people think this is acceptable, it's totally irresponsible and dangerous...imo. Not too mention disrespectful. It really makes me angry that the people that are cheering what Mcblabber mouth did are the very people who scream about demoralizing the troops and putting them in harms way if a Dem dares speak out against the war.

I'm so sick of they hypocrisy! :grr:

9. Of course he does it o.n purpose, he got away with doing an end around leak
before and pretty much got his way as well. If Obama doesn't dump he he is emasculating himself
And endangering civilian control of the armed forces.
