Why isn't Biden a viable candidate...
for a lot of Dems. Also, does anyone think that General Clark will enter the race by next year?

1. There has never been a president with hair transplants.
And he's a senator.

2. Because the talking heads are ignoring him
Face it, the Democratic voters are in some ways just as easily swayed by the pundits as the republicons.
All you hear on the boob tube and talk radio... Hillary, Obama, Hillary, Obama. I haven't even hear Edwards in the last 2 weeks, if there isn't any news about Elizabeth the media has ignored John.

5. He plagarized a campaign speech.
Bad hairplugs mentioned elsewhere.
Generally votes corporate toady - but he is sure not alone on that.
Currently is against the Iraq war, but didn't use to hold that position. In my view he is about the same as Clinton on foreign policy.

8. In four letters:
DMCA

He helped vote for it.

The man's clueless; corporations have even used the DMCA against each other, in the most hypocritical ways. (Lexmark being a prime example here... they sue other makers for copying their printer toner cartridge design... while selling toner cartridges for HP printers...)

11. I think he is
a viable candidate. Probably for the VP spot, though. He has both strengths and weaknesses, though I think that by next fall, more people will be viewing him as providing Senate leadership in the anti-war movement. That may be recognized as pretty significant, soon.

18. I agree. He's a prettu smart guy
and has a good grasp on foreign policy. I like him. I often wonder why he doesn't get the attention--maybe he's been over-exposed as a Senator. Either way, he would be a great asset to a Democratic president.

13. I don't know about BIden, but as for Clark, I wouldn't be surprised
if he does enter the race. He is thinking about it and has not ruled it out yet. I'm really hoping he runs, because I think that he could beat any republican out there.

15. Clark is my choice
I voted for him last time. I believe that the so called front runners will that the media have chosen are good people but, I believe that we will be spending most of the campaign talking about Bill Clinton,if someone will vote for Obama because he is black,if they all have enough experience for the world we now face. The republicons are not working this that strongly right now but just wait until Thompson and Hagel join the campaign, even if they don't we will start hearing this in the future. I don't like the media picking my candidate...

14. Biden's boring..not charismatic
Selecting a president is a visceral thing. There are people running who just don;t have "it".

Dodd doesn't have it
Kucinich doesn't have it
Hillary sort of has it (mostly through Bill C)
Obama has it, but lack of experience may cancel some of it out
Edwards almost has it
Richardson doesn't have it

Gore used to "didn't have it", but lately he seems to have it..

Realistically, ALL of these people are "qualified", but to get elected they have to have more... they have to "click" with the people..

"IT" comes and goes..look at McCain.. He had "it" in '00 and pissed it away..

16. Biden has voted against
the democratic base so many times that the Dems who go to the polls and vote won't even think about him. Besides he talks too damn much.

20. Because he is, at best, laughable.
The "mouth that never closes" epitomizes political posturing, pandering, and spotlight hunting.
