Black Parents... White Baby
Source: The Sun

THE stunned black dad of a newborn, WHITE, baby girl declared yesterday — "I'm sure she's my kid ... I just don't know why she's BLONDE."
British Nmachi Ihegboro has amazed genetics experts who say the little girl is NOT an albino.

I hate to link to FreeperLand, but you have to read some of the comments. They can't possibly fathom that their "pure" race could have been copied by...AFRICANS!!!

1. Just so you know, the freeper reaction is probably what the
sun was going for; not a credible source for anything.

It is published by News Group Newspapers of News International, itself a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation.<5><6>

4. Freeper
is a meaningless expression here in the UK and I'm not sure how many over your side would read The Sun anyway. Has it it been picked up by your own media ?

5. No idea if this media has it; probably not (yet). I was responding
to the FR link that was posted, so freepers here are apparently aware of this story (disclaimer: I refuse to click on those links from that vile place).

I know a few English that use the term; admittedly, they are online friends who are familiar with US politics and with the extreme right website.

White people are mutants

I just had no idea that the mutations were so small that they might conceivably rarely occur within a single generation.

7. SOMEONE is about to lose their FR account...
<snip>

This is exactly why we should be smart enough to let all this race stuff go. Because nobody knows - we all could be who we don’t even think we are. And so what?? We’re all human, and if we can just love each other instead of playing that game into infinity, we would wll be better off. (Except, of course, those who make their living off keeping us at odds with each other.)

18. I doubt that
It's true, she resembles the mother more than the father, but a child who has 50%/50% parentage would probably be darker than this baby. It's a mutation, a rare one, to be sure, but the fact that there are any white people in the first place tells us this is possible, in fact, probable with large numbers of births. And, if a mutation has happened before, it will happen again. There are people born with many different kinds of genetic mutations: while most mutations are benign, most of the ones we would notice are horrible.

This baby looks African in all respects except pigmentation. The process of genetic expression is a complicated one I won't pretend to understand fully, but all sorts of strange things can happen, many of which involve pigmentation.

13. Maybe it's not the mother who cheated, but the father
Picked up a fertilized egg somewhere. There was a story in Germany a few years back in which a similar thing happened, but two white parents had a black baby. Needless to say, the father went ballistic, accusing the wife of cheating. After all the tests, it turned out he'd "picked up" and implanted an egg - extremely rare but apparently possible.

34. A Afrikaner couple had the problem about 30-40 years ago
I wrote a bite more of it below, but it reflected the fact that Afrikaans (by that term I an referring to those South Africans of Dutch descent) had mixed with native Africans from the 1600s, when the Dutch first settled South Africa, till the Great Trek of the 1830s (and even afterward but not officially).

32. Blonds do occur in the Western Sahara area of Africa
Edited on Tue Jul-20-10 11:31 AM by happyslug
A present time it is believe to be two movement of blonds into the Western Sahara, one in prehistoric times as the area went from grasslands to desert and the second was the movement of the Vandals from German to Spain to Carthage around 450 AD. How extensive was the later is debated (And how much of it survived in the gene pool of the Western Sahara is open to debate). On the other hand the existence of blonds among the Barbers and other tribes of the Western Sahara is while known, known even in Roman days (Thus the down playing of the later Vandal invasion as the gene source).

Nigeria is the delta of the Niger River which drains most of the Western Sahara. Rivers are natural transportation routes so people have used them form thousand of years. Given the existence of Blonds in the Western Sahara, how the Niger flows and the location of Nigeria, that blond genes are in both parents gene pool is easily explained. The key is WHY it shows up TODAY. Given DNA testing (and even British Hospitals concern for litigation) there is more then the fact the baby came out of her mother's womb tying this baby with BOTH parents (DNA results can be achieved within hours AND unlike old fashioned blood tests are accurate from birth).

Just comments that this is probably both parent's child and both parents have some blond gene in their gene pools and those genes just matched up in this baby.

Map of the Niger River:

About 30 years ago, before the fall of apartheid in South Africa, I read of a similar (But reverse) situation with an Afrikaner couple. Both were white and both families had been white for generations but the couple produced an all black child. The reason for this is about 5% of the Afrikaner group gene pool is African not Afrikaner and that African blood lines showed up in their baby. Since this was the middle of apartheid this caused all types of problems, for the child was technically classified as "White" even through her skin color was black. Thus she was allowed to go to the better all white schools in her area. She suffered from discrimination from her class mates and other whites who did NOT want to accept that fact she was "White" under the laws of South Africa at that time (She was "White" for both of her parents were "White" not "Colored" as those terms were used under apartheid). The last part of the article that I read was she was having a hard time as a "White" women in marrying a black male (remember this was during the height of apartheid NOT today) she basically had rejected the "white" label for her fellow "Whites" did NOT want to accept her as "White" so she wanted to marry a "Black" male, but as a "White" women she could not. One of the problems with apartheid and one of the reason it was abolished.
