NASCAR team owner Jack Roush crashed while landing his plane on Tuesday in Oshkosh, Wis. He's in serious but stable condition and his injuries are not life-threatening.
Roush, who heads Roush-Fenway Racing and is chairman of Roush Enterprises, was landing his Hawker Beechcraft Premium jet at the Oshkosh airport about 6:15 p.m. local time when the accident happened. He was there for the EAA AirVenture show.
Roush-Fenway Racing president Geoff Smith acknowledged some injuries to Jack Roush, 68, including facial lacerations, and added that surgery is possible. "But he walked out of the plane," Smith said via text message to the Associated Press.
Spokesman John Clark said Roush was expected to be hospitalized for several days. Roush also crashed a plane in 2002 in Alabama.
