Will POTUS Obama say any about the Gibb's gaffe and, if so, what will he say?

The immediate political problem is holding the Democratic Party together for the midterm and the next two years not bipartisionship.

5. Obama will never bring it up. If asked a direct

question about it, he'll weasel out of it with a joke..."too much coffee" or something like that. Today when Gibbs was asked about leaving, he looked absolutely smug, and he offered nothing like an apology. If Obama was upset, Gibbs would've heard about it from Obama by now. You didn't even have to hear Gibbs words, the pricky expression on his face said it all. That is what the WH thinks of us.

7. Holding the Democratic party together is not a problem. The people complaining are louder in volume

than large in number.

Gallup, PPP, and Pew all show that liberal Democratic approval for Obama ranges 80-90% and often trends closer to 90% than 80%. Historically, Obama's Democratic approval rating is the highest among any Democratic president since John F Kennedy.

If people think there is a problem with "holding the Democratic Party together," that simply shows that the people saying that are not representative of liberal Democrats (not that there actually is a problem).

17. To be fair, he walked that back today in the presser.

He was asked to confirm that statement, and his answer was that Gibbs spoke for himself. It's in the first few minutes, iirc. :hi:

Since his appointments of Rahm, Geithner, and then all the Monsanto appointments, I saw him for what he was: a cheating lying sell out.

If I had not spent eight long years back in my twenties dealing with someone like that in a relationship, perhaps I wouldn't recognize the reality.

But once you make up excuses for someone, thinking eventually they will come around, and it is more of the same, and months later, still more of the same, and years later, still more of the same...

At least when I was in my twenties, what happened only affected me.

Obama manipulated us into thinking he was going to be something we wanted and needed, but he punked us all the same.

And it affects everyone.

18. I know you're right but my brain still can't wrap itself around the idea

that these people are kicking off a good slice of their base. It just makes no sense at all to me. They'll never get the center/right votes to compensate for this. It's not going to happen.

Maybe votes just don't mean very much post Citizens United.
