Some news about OS
Edited on Thu Aug-19-10 08:48 PM by Omaha Steve

Most of you remember I was hurt on the job in Dec. of 07. I was doing work at the Papio Plant on a temp basis when they were behind on a project. I was a semi skilled laborer at that time. I wasn't trained in safety procedures for confined space and had no safety harness on. I had surgery on my shoulder in March 08. I've been having some pains. My MRI says I have a new tear. More than likely I'll be having rotator cuff surgery in a month or so.

I won't be able to move a mouse very well for some time after that. No DU. I'll tell all when I know more.

1. Speedy recovery.
But I guess it's too late for that. So hope this next procedure is the answer.

3. Hi OS - I hope things work out ok - those rotator cuffs can hurt!
BTW, throw your mouse away and for $100 buy a Wacom tablet and pen. It's the only way I can work on a computer for any length of time. It will be the best money you've ever spent.

Take care!

10. Switch hands for using the mouse

It feels a bit awkward at first, but it's doable. You have a month to practice before surgery too.
Keep us posted of surgery date.

13. Or get a trackball!
Edited on Thu Aug-19-10 09:40 PM by tridim
I'll never use a mouse again, and as a bonus I'm 100% ambidextrous now.

I bought it because my mouse was destroying my right rotator cuff.

16. That looks like something I need to get

Every other week, I switch using a regular mouse from right hand to left hand. This trackball could eliminate the problems in my wrists and rotator cuffs. Thanks for the idea!

Maybe surfing the internet can be considered in your therapy. :-)

Good luck!

19. Thanks for the good vibes

And I just bought a new wireless mouse and keyboard two weeks ago. I may try the track ball etc. I think I'll be able to read ok if nothing else.
