How Silly This Mosque - Ground Zero Controversy Is ..........
Remember 1500 people died in NOLA during Katrina. Does that mean that they can't build a swimming pool in the New Orleans in order to honor the dead of Katrina? I don't think so.

The whole Mosque - Ground Zero Controversy is slight of hand by the Repugs to take the emphasis off of them being the party of 'NO' and not cooperating at all with this administration to get this country back on track after 8 years of the BushCo disaster.

They figure if they throw out this Mosque/Ground Zero controversy and mix it with the immigration issue - they won't have to talk about or have their constituency confront them on jobs, unemployment, the 99ers, letting the Bush tax cuts expire on the top 2% earners, etc during this summer recess at their Town Halls.

They will just incite their constituencies with racism. It's a sad day in America when the MSM lets them get away with this and on top of things - help fan the flames for them.

1. I'm tempted to go to one of those town halls (if they have any here)
and pretend to be a Pub (YUCK!) just to ask why they voted against the unemployment bill, or why it's a problem if less than 2% of our people might have to resort to payng a bit more in taxes for the good of the rest of us? I don't dare go to our current Rep. in the House because I've badgered his office against everything he wants to do that he would recognize me and I'd be thrown out, and neither of our Senators are running this year. I think I could pull it off and maybe I'll find another Rep for a neghboring district and just grab an address from some closed business or something. I want to see them dance!

2. Are you saying George Bush murdered them?
Because I dont think you can compare 9/11 to a natural disaster.

4. 9/11 or Katrina Or Both?.........
I'm sure some on this board and this country accuse Bush of murdering people in both disasters. 9/11 through LIHOP or MIHOP or incompetence and Katrina through just basic neglect and inaction.

3. have you seen this article?
I found this article last night, it includes the mosque issue and immigration.

he says:
McCain is the face of the party now; old, bitter and compromising his former beliefs (about the intolerant religious right for instance) in order to hang on to power through just one more and last, election. He also reversed himself on immigration and went from a reformer arguing for the benefits of diversity to joining the anti-everyone-but-Us lynch mob.
