Question: Is 24 hours the max for a stay on the greatest page?
Or is it arbitrary and the admins or mods can change it?

How long can an OP be recc'd?

I know I have seen threads dungeoned off the Greatest page and sent to the CT forum but can other threads get removed from the greatest page because someone disgrees with its merits or content (even if completely within the rules)?

Just askin' nad you can maybe guess why. Some posts i like seem to short lifespans on the greatest page and wondered about the politics of that and the rules and if any posters had insights.

If someone offhand knows what the rules/policies are on the greatest page stay and rec's let me know. Unwritten policies are alwasy hard to decipher so maybe former moderators or durrent ones can help.

Can ANY moderator remove a post from the greatest page and dungeon it or is there a vote or do earl and skinner decide. Understanding these rules/policies will make me a more thoughtful or reflective SU poster/

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

1. I've noticed that there have been some threads...
... that I wish could have stayed on the Greatest Page longer.

4. Thanks, for some threads it seems longer, like 48 hours
but maybe I am just too new here to have really paid attention.

I was upset when one of Time For Chage's incredibly posts with many recs disappeared and was gungeoned, but I thought a post I did hadn't even reached the 24 hour mark when it disappeared.

My bad. It probably had.

THX all.

3. threads moved to the more controversial forums get knocked off
--even if they had been on the "greatest page." That includes those moved to IP forum, the gungeon, and the like.
