I am really tired...
of hearing about "Real Americans" and how they are not being treated properly by the black, brown, red, yellow and non-Christians among us. Who are these people to decide what an American is?
My ancestors to this country came to Virginia and Massachusetts in the 1600's. They fought in every war and sometimes on both sides. Some owned slaves and some were abolitionists from the start. Yet I have a daughter-in-law who is a naturalized citizen that probably knows more about our history than I do. She certainly understands the ideal and concept better than most "real americans" I have met who spout on and on about their specialness.
It seems to me time to call out those who, like Palin and Beck - et al, call themselves Americans and have no idea what they are talking about. They really ought to shut up.
:grr: :grr:

1. Sounds like you're old enough to remember Wallace.
( That's George, not Henry).

It's the same stuff, one generation removed.

No, they will never shut-up. There will always be "simple" and there will always be DUMB.

4. People as a whole are not nearly as worthy as the noble dog....

For whom the mongrel is every bit as worthy as the overly groomed pure bred species their human owners prize so much ;)

5. The thing is we do not and I mean do not have a
coordinated group of people who stand up and stand out and speak for the Other side. And make no mistake about it, we are real Americans. We are the ones who had a lot of ancestors who fought for this country from the beginning. And when they were late comers and were naturalized, they knew this country had a heart.

The people who control every aspect of the media today are not rational. They want money and power to stay in the hands of crooks and racist forever. They can't stand someone who doesn't bend down to them. They want the corporations to set the policy, not the American people. And as time goes on it is getting harder and harder to get honest caring and intelligent people to serve in congress. AND THAT MEANS IN BOTH PARTIES. Those that are for the American people and not the rich and corporations don't' seem to have a chance the media shuts out their speeches. The media glorifies a small group of hate filled, greedy and absolutely asshole people like the tea bags. We know that until we are allowed to talk to spread the "other" side of the story it is going to get worst. And we can't get the deaf, dumb and blind members of congress that WE THE PEOPLE ELECTED TO SERVE US, to do their job. Until we get term limits and finance elections law changed so all the corporations can't funnel billions of dollars into the elections to put THEIR PEOPLE in charge nothing is going to change.

7. And it would cover about 85% of Americans......
..... if more 'white" families took a real, close look at that family tree!

Do I see some "brown spots" in that tree????
