Why Do Republicants Hate Gays?
I am familiar with Godwin's Law but a gay person who votes Republicant is like a Jewish person who votes National Socialist or a chicken that votes for Colonel Sanders.

That is all...

1. No it's like a self mutilation thing. They hate what is in them.
Just ask any male Catholic. Did they ever want to look up Jesus' sarong on the cross?

Sure they did!!! To see his weenie!!

2. It's not who they hate; it's that they thrive on division, fear, and hatred,
in the absence of real ideas. How do you get people to vote against their own best interests?

6. We're perceived as an obstinate minority.
Majorities generally are hostile towards minorities.

It's sort of the default position.

Combine this with lack of clarity re. sex, brain physiology and psychology and you have what you have.

Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor were two dems who voted to filibuster DADT.

13. It Means $$$ And Votes...
This is the corrupt party of the so-called "self righteous"...the fundies and homophobes who write big checks and fill the church busses that keep many rushpublicans in office. In this party's race to the bottom homophobia is a oottage industry as seen with how they've tried to wedge GMA in "conservative" states to amp up the vote.

It's all about power...the only thing the rushpublicans care about and they don't care who they shit upon to get it.

delusion that gay people are weaker.

Plus, they're stupid.

24. Religion is the problem
It has been my experience that the more "religious" a person is, the more anti-gay they are.

If we could get rid of all religions, then there would be a drastic decrease in anti-gay rhetoric and policies in this world.

Atheists typically don't hate gays.
