Pawlenty to Fight Health Care Law in Minnesota

Washington (FOX) -- Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty said Tuesday that he will try to prevent his state from participating in the federal health care overhaul during the final four months of his term.

Pawlenty is widely considered to be preparing a run for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination and is drawing a line in the sand that may force other governors with presidential ambitions to make a tough decision.

By signing an executive order Tuesday, Governor Pawlenty has forbidden Minnesota state agencies for applying for new grant programs made available under the new health care law.

"Obamacare is an intrusion by the federal government into personal health care matters and it's an explosion of federal spending that does nothing to make health care more affordable," Governor Pawlenty said. "To the fullest extent possible, we need to keep Obamacare out of Minnesota. This executive order will stop Minnesota's participation in projects that are laying the groundwork for a federally-controlled healthcare system."

God damn all of these fuckers who put profits and power over the health and security of people.

This is a man who took gas tax money out of the budget because for political games and a bridge fell into a river killing people.

1. Timmy has back pedaled a bit on that stance
and will now "allow" (he thinks he's an absolute monarch) into the state.

3. Phewlenty Phewlenty that's how you spell his name
I bet his little old dried up conjones are just tingling to think he can screw the state more than what he has. doesn't he look like a wimp. I have never seen a poorer example of a governor and I will never ever ever believe that he overcome all those votes his opponent had against him by winning in the Minneapolis area. He sure pulled a lot of votes out of the air...or should I add two ss's to that a. I can not not not not stand that man. And the poor slob thinks he has a chance to even be a candidate for president. He never made it above 1% of the staw votes and he don't even make it to 0% in most.
