Our two most savvy pols are speaking positively about the Tea Party.
Bill Clinton and Howard Dean are sympathizing with tea partiers dislike of both parties and our political system. Dean says that while he does not like the more extreme views, that the idea of a party driven by the people is what his campaign was all about.

People upset with government is probably the norm. We need to find a way to win over the sane ones.

1. If it were actually being driven by people instead of
billionaires with really selfish fucked up ideas and ideals.
I guess fascism is an Ideal....

2. When a person identifies with a party/organization/ideology it doesn't matter what some wannabes are

Doing.

This isn't an outgrowth of a single person enunciating their ideas. I'd say it's more of an uprising of general dissatisfaction.

3. I was listening to a right wing radio show and they were talking to a woman who
wrote a book about the tea party founder in Oregon I think. She said what got the founder to get involved was the fact that they were under water with their house and mortgage. A few sentences later she said the founder was a firm believer in unregulated free markets.

Now the way I see it and the way it really happened was the deregulated financial markets were the cause of her being under water.

Now she is the founder of the tea party in Oregon and is mad but stupid so were are the mad smart tea party members Dean's talking about?

5. That is what is offensive...people who call themselves the leaders of the Tea Party.
Who made them God? It's like if some yahoo decided they were the head of the Democratic party. These "leaders" are self selected.

4. Too bad President Obama isn't doing this
This thread would be a lot more popular and on the front page.

Maybe Clinton and Dean could go campaign with Russ Feingold. He needs all the help he can get from prominent Democrats.

6. Just wait
You'll get your wish.

Obama will congratulate the teabaggers for their efforts and make sure the leftists are further pushed away. Clinton, et al, are just testing the water (tea?).
