1.  There is another thread on this
Can't find it though. General sentiment is that it's kinda irrelevant because prop 19 is likely to pass. But that's what all states should do as a first step toward legalization

4. small quantities have long been a petty offense in Colorado
or at least my area. hell, I think the fine for smoking cigs underage is bigger than getting stopped with an eighth

5. Very good! Now, even if Prop 19 doesn't pass, we won't be wasting
near as many taxpayer dollars pursuing this crap.

I find it a bit sad, though, that this was the way the law was in Colorado when I was in college in the 70s and early 80s. Decades have been squandered when we could have legalized, regulated, and taxed it, and been growing industrial hemp and reaping the benefits of that. This country is still insane.
