6. You find one of the many 'free' anti-virus software programs and
never have to worry about 'renewal' again.

I'm currently using AVG by Grisoft after finally getting fed up with the Comcast provided McAfee software.

It can be found here:

9. I have Avast as well and put it on my sister's laptop
there is no fee for residential non-business use and it's wonderful, fast, updates and this was after I paid mucho bucks for Norton and was aggravated for 2 months.

11. DING, DING, DING... The Very BEST Answer!!! It's FREE & Works
GREAT! I just took my PC to those who built it today and I was using AVAST... he told me get rid of it and use AVG7.5! It's free and easy and I LOVE IT!

I was told Avast was better, but now I see IT'S NOT!! Get thee to AVG!!!

12. It keeps nagging you to spend more money
Edited on Tue May-22-07 09:30 PM by tech3149
I've got MacAfee, Norton, and others sitting on the shelf. I've gone to Avira and still get nagged but the are kind enough to let me use it for free. I'd pay if I had the scratch but it sucks when you're poor.

edit: corrected sticking keyboard
