Most of the democrats I know personally, including my Dad, are frustrated as hell at the congressional dems' caving on things like Iraq funding, the immigration bill, and their disinterest in impeaching the worst criminal mob tro ever occupy the White House.
Last week my dad told me he got a lettter from the Democratic Congressional Fundraising Committee asking for (another) dotation, and my dad told me he was going to withhold a donation to show his disgust with their inaction.
And there are probably a lot of other regular people out there doing the same thing.
But now that labor as a funding source has dried up, if more and more rank-and-file dems decide to withhold donations, the party will be ever more forced to turn to the very cause of their ineffectiveness - corporate donors, which can only serve to make them ever more sold-out and useless.
It's a heck of a tight spot.
When I told my dad this, he said "Yeah, well, I'm going to do it anyway, and hopefully if enough people do it they'll change their ways".
Oh, how I wish he was right. :(
