Waxman denies Ralston immunity, for now.

Waxman denies Ralston immunity, for now.

More details on former Rove aide Susan Ralston. Ralston’s lawyer says that if she is granted immunity from prosecution, “she would testify about Abramoff’s relationships with White House officials and ‘the use by White House officials of political e-mail accounts’ at the Republican National Committee.”

Ralston has “useful information about both of those subjects,” Berenson told the committee, and “she is more than willing to provide it to the committee” under “a grant of immunity,” the memo said.

But Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) is going to deny immunity for now. “‘Providing immunity to a witness is a significant step with legal consequences for potential prosecutions.’ Before deciding on Ralston’s request, he said, the committee ’should seek to obtain information about the relationship between Mr. Abramoff and the White House from other sources.’”

3. doesn't any fucking one working for this administration have the obligation to tell the fucking
truth under oath???????/

maybe we should all do what they are doing if we ever have to go to court..just refuse to tell truth unless we get immunity!!

fuck rule of law...this white house has proven rule of law is old america..new america is lie your ass off..refuse to answer questions..give the middle finger to anyone you think is a democrat..spit in the face of our constitution..and the american people..and steal our money based on nothing but filthy lies..the bigger the lies the better..it seems..just lie your ass off..break all our laws..they mean nothing any more!!

5. What's really dangerous is they're setting a precedent for future admins;
don't like what they're asking for? Don't give it to them. If this admin isn't penalized for their unconstitutional stonewalling, that may be the accepted order of the day from now on.

9. ohhh the precedence is set now..lie..the bigger the lie the better..then give
the middle finger to anyone who calls you on your lies...hell we don't need rule of law anymore..fuck rule of law..the gate keeper to rule of law can be the biggest liar of all..and the dems will give them extra time to lie some more or hide more documents..hell lets just run the clock out..give them all the time they need to shit all over rule of law..screw contempt of congress..screw obstruction of justice..we don't need those laws any more..because if you are the ruling party ..you can just give the middle finger to all rule of law..piss on rule of law...why,let's add to that...
spying on the opposition and screw anyone running for election..they can all be spied on or put in jail for no damn reason..make up the reason..make it a big lie..the bigger the better..and we no longer need elections , or medicare that they rape..or our social security that are getting raped..hell..we the people no longer matter..and the dems proved that today..they said fuck 70% of americans who want us out of iraq yesterday..

precedence..they don;t give a shit..because they have now gotten a free pass for a one party government...a gift on a silver platter by the dems ..

can you tell i am disgusted?

i just want to know what they want us to tell the youth of this country when they come to us as parents and grandparents..and ask us what truth means and what the consequences are for lying..i would be baffled to answer that right now!!

i truely would be baffled..

4. Good. I'm sick of all this "immunity" talk.
Let's start throwing some of these shitheads in jail
for their blatant and repeated CONTEMPT of Congress.

Isn't that what the law says is SUPPOSED to happen?

6. But we want them to 'spill' by any means possible; the clock is ticking.
That's why this is so potentially interesting; why isn't he giving Ralston a pass?

7. He is hoping to verify her facts/blather with other sources before
any immunity deal gives her a "get out of jail free" card. Who's to say that she will actually recall any of the events she claims are of interest to the committee?

8. I trust Waxman
He has shown himself to be a bulldog in the past. I don't think he is giving in here, I think he is being smart. She is probably scared to death and this is her attempt to "get out of jail free". If he lets her sweat it out he may get more information in the long run.

10. What's giving,
without some getting? That's all I'm saying.

She wants immunity, not so hard to understand. I just want to know, immunity from what?

Is it a pig in a poke?

That's best left to those who know their poker.
