Security think-tank: Iran may be preparing to strike Europe
By The Associated Press

A European security analyst told British lawmakers on Tuesday that Iran may be drawing up plans to strike targets in Europe, and has conducted reconnaissance of European nuclear power stations in particular.

Claude Moniquet, president of the European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center, a private think-tank in Brussels, told a meeting of lawmakers and analysts in London's House of Commons that his organization also had evidence Tehran has increased numbers of intelligence agents across Europe.

"We have serious signals that something is under preparation in Europe," Moniquet said, though he did not present any evidence to the meeting. "Iranian
in

intelligence is working extremely hard to prepare its people and to prepare actions," he said.

I wonder if this is the same think tank that thought of the Iraq war

4. From their webpage (thanks babel)

Founded in May 2002, the ESISC (European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center) resumed on its account, as of its creation, the work of observation and analysis of international terrorism and the strategic questions which had been undertaken for more than twenty years by some of its promoters.

It was created on the initiative of Claude Moniquet, former journalist author specialized, expert internationally recognized as regards counter-terrorism, and by four others associated: Genovefa Etienne, Frederic Moser, Ingrid Morvan and Marc Borry.

Our team counts today more than 25 people, researchers and analysts, specialized in the questions concerning terrorism, the Close relation and the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Latin America, military questions etc In addition to a central structure in Brussels, the ESISC counts today an office in Paris and another in North Africa.

We have three Internet sites: www.esisc.eu, and www.strategicasiaonline.org (in French and English) for all the questions concerning safety and the economic affairs and industrial in China and in the remainder of Asia.

Registering its step in the total reflexion on the questions of safety which followed the attacks of September 11, 2001 and in the vaster problems of privatization partial of safety and the information, the ESISC is thus at the same time a “think tank” with Anglo-Saxon, which was given for mission of speaking in the public discussion and of sensitizing the company with the questions of safety, and a true actor of strategic safety. It mixes at the same time fundamental research, the industrial research and of the activities of analysis, council and training given with the profit of its partners (see the heading “Our services”).

The expertise on the ESISC relates in particular to the questions of safety in the broad sense: terrorism and counter-terrorism, information, conflicts of low intensity, ethnic and religious conflicts, anti-semitism and racism, Islamism and other forms of political or religious extremism, organized crime and corruption, economic safety.

The ESISC is very regularly quoted in the international media (see the heading “Esisc in the media”). Its president, Claude Moniquet, are a frequent host of the “talk-show” and television news or broadcast, in Europe as in North America, in the Maghreb or the Middle East.

16. There're these things called general staffs...
You're one of the senior folks in a nation's military, you plan for things. You try to figure out what you'll do if someone goes to war with you, or if you go to war with someone, or if some combination of the two happen, etc. It's a commonsense sort of thing, and a relatively inexpensive/useful way to keep the brass busy.

Do I believe Iran's got plans for war with Europe, including nuclear strikes should they have the warheads and missiles? Absolutely. But then again, I also believe that they've got one for a war with Pakistan, or that Pakistan has a plan for a war with post-occupation Afghanistan, or that Italy's got plans for war with France, that South Korea's got invasion-of-Japan plans someplace, that India's got plans for a war with the United States, and the Canadian Forces have a folder in some dusty cabinet determining precisely how best to annex the border states which aren't already secretly Canadian spies.

Any quarterway competent military's going to have some folks doing stuff like that when their senior staff have brainmeats to spare, or when confrontation between one nation and another is even a vague possibility. It doesn't surprise me, but to be honest it doesn't particularly alarm me either. Militaries draw up plans. It's what they do. Someone call me when it looks like they're preparing to implement a plan.

chimperor has authorized covert action against Iran. This is just a trial balloon for a false flag attack. Now that England is bailing in Iraq, bushler won't have to nuke an American city to start WWIII, he can just nuke England.
