CNN's ex-Fox news bimbo beating the drum for BushCo. SURPRISE!
Lying by omission. They're reporting on the war funding bill this morning, and how poor George didn't get everything he wanted either, and that the new bill contains "benchmarks" which he'll have to meet in order to keep the funding flowing. Alert Americans, though, know that is essentially an outright lie, because the bill as written gives Bush the power to simply waive the benchmarks and receive the funding anyway. The truth is actually available in one place -- KO and Howard Fineman's clip from last night. The democrats sold out, pure and simple.[br />
Welcome to the new dictatorship.

1. Is she the one who keeps hoping for hurricanes...
... in order to stop the drought in Florida?

2. CNN has gone pure faux
John Roberts is just as bad as his co-host. And Chad Myers was on there this morning making an off the cuff remark that the forcast of increased hurricanes is not due to global warming.

There is NOTHING on in the morning now that I can stand to watch!

I can't see how there ratings are any better with this two as opposed to Miles O'Brien and Soledad O'Brien. At least they were intelligent!

3. I posted about this the other day...

There is NO news available on television anymore. TV "news" is only for people worried about missing kids, cute puppies and celebrity shenanigans. The "news"papers aren't much better. The Hartford Courant features human interest stories on the entire front page virtually every day now, and buries any reporting about BushCo or Iraq (unless they're trumpeting a brave local hero from the high school football team who signed up to save 'Murkah) on page Z-37, underneath the ads for collector coins and prayers to St. Jude.

5. Thanks. A great post.
TV, radio and print media are now fully irrelevant. I sit in a newsroom every day and see the vapid bullshit going on around me. Meanwhile, AP has nothing for decent news editors to turn to. Hey - American Idol is On!!!!!

Dumbfuckistan is US

6. That's probably because the Nat'l Weather Service has said the same thing.
As far as I know there are know governmental authorities saying that increased numbers of hurricanes are due to global warming.

That being said, I agree that CNN has gone far right, and when they say "Ex-Fox Bimbo", I have to ask Which one? Paula Zahn?

7. Ratings
the latest American Morning team of Chetry and Roberts are getting clobbered in the ratings and they truly lucked out when Imus got pulled since he was beating CNN on a regular basis. I agree with you that the show is unwatchable and I can't for the life of me understand why CNN was so eager to hire someone that Fox let go?????? She is horrible.

Plus, now with MSNBC you never know who you're going to get in the mornings. I was surprised to see Jim Cramer as the latest to audition for the spot. No thanks to his high caffiene brand of "news" first thing in the morning.
