If an item is "fulfilled by Amazon" (Amazon.com)
what does that mean? Who is the payment made to? Is it made to Amazon or the original seller?

Mine says 'AMAZON MKTPLACE PMTS AMZN.COM/BILL WA' for 'fulfilled by items' rather than the normal 'Amazon.com AMZN.COM/BILL WA'

3. I believe it means that...
the items are warehouse within Amazon.com distribution center, which means you will get it quickly.
As far as payment, I believe ALL payments go through Amazon, regardless of who fulfills it. However,
'fulfilled by Amazon' shipments do go through Amazon.

If you subscribe to Amazon 'prime' it means you gets those 'fulfilled items' under the Prime shipping policy of 2 days (and free).
