Take a stand...if we don't stop them now
Edited on Fri Nov-19-10 09:59 PM by Slit Skirt
The flood gates will open..testing how much we can be pushed...how much we will allow in the way of indignities and humiliations. If we say this is ok...we are that much closer to scaring us into being a submissive public...into a slippery slope of police state

good info here and stories about what people have experienced

Professor from ASU contradicts what TSA is saying about Radiation Levels

http://www.cnn.com/2010/TRAVEL/11/12/body.scanning.radiation/index.html

"....Peter Rez, a professor of physics at Arizona State University, disagrees. Rez has independently calculated the radiation doses of backscatter scanners using the images produced by the machines. "

"I came to the conclusion that although low, the dose was higher than they said," he said.

Based on his analysis, Rez estimates each scan produces radiation equivalent to 10 to 20 minutes of flight.

imho....
scanners are invasion of privacy and give off dangerous radiation
the body searches are illegal and are not a reasonable option
security experts around the world say they don't work
michael chertoff if making money and tsa is trying to justify their jobs and the purchase of these machines

1. This is just a way of keeping us fearful, ready to go fight for our
way of life ( think national interests, oil ). Why all of the attention on aircraft when there is bigger and better targets all around us?

3. And when they tell us to move into the camps, and then go into
the showers, we will believe them because they've told us it is for our safety. . . . .

Roger Ailes got it wrong. It's not NPR that's the nazis; it's the TSA and maybe even Homeland (why does that word make my skin crawl) Security.

all those airports until they remove those offensive machines and the Blue Shirts who are complicit in the 'enhanced patdowns'.

I agree with you completely and will not be flying anywhere that I can get to by car which may mean a lot more time, but people have DIED to defend their rights. Driving across country in your own car seems not to be too big a sacrifice rather than become complicit in the totalitarianism of this country.

It's really NOT up to them, it's up to us. We get the government we deserve. Let's see if the 'Land of the Brave' has the spine to forego a few conveniences to protect the rights of all Americans. I mean no one is asking them to die or anything, just to be a little bit inconvenienced until we get this ridiculousness under control. A couple of weeks of big losses for the airlines would probably do it, followed by a Boston Harbor event tossing those grotesque machines into the water. The Revolution started over less than the kind of abuses we have been subjected today. What is wrong with Americans? Sheep? Or not?
