Just called Sens Tester & Baucus
And asked them to join Bernie Sanders in the filibuster - I got through pretty quick and left messages.

1. Can't get through to Durbin's office,
and he's pretty much the only Senator we have.

2. I wonder if they're even in town? I finally got through to Cantwell's office -
she hasn't made a statement on where she stands :grr:; still can't get through to Murray.

As someone said in another thread, all Dems should take note - they should ALL be there.

7. Me, too -- and when I said I was from Kenmore, WA she said 'me, too!'. I often
wondered if the elected folks brought people from back home with them or hired when they got to DC.

Has Murray stated whether she's for or against this? That's why I want to speak to someone, to hear what the Senator is saying. I've said that I'm concerned about Murray because I'm afraid she may feel indebted to Obama for his and Biden's efforts to help get her reelected. It's pretty mind boggling to know Air Force One and Air Force Two came into town for YOU!

My guy Inslee is definitely against, and has in fact sent out a request for signatures on a petition. If you haven't signed and are interested, let me know and I'll post the link.

:hi:

8. What was the response?
Wyden did his own little filibuster-type speech several years ago, and it had something to do with oil company profits, if I remember correctly.

9. I called "eight" of my Senators.
I live in FL and Maine and called those Senators and I also called my former senators in CT and MI. I have nothing but high respect for Senator Bernie Sanders. The people of Vermont are so fortunate and smart to elect such a great man to represent them.

When I called Senator Collins' office, the staff member acted dumb and had no idea what I was talking about when I talked about the filibuster. She couldn't even speak correctly. She never once said "Yes" but only uh huh, uh huh. I don't think she even knows what a filibuster is. At one point I asked if I had reached Senator Collins' office because of the dumbness from the staffer. Her answer..."Uh Huh."
