CNN: Fail
Student protests to bowel movements: CNN diarrhea faux pas
CNN anchor Ali Velshi sheepishly had to ask that question on air, after network producers made the (fail) decision to segue from a clip of student protests in Europe straight into the explosive diarrhea scene from the film "Dumb and Dumber."

While the Huffington Post reports that the clips aired back to back, with no apparent editorial purpose, Mediaite has found the original source of the clip.

According to Mediaite, CNN used the scene as an introduction to a segment on unusual treatments for digestive diseases in men.

Why CNN producers chose to cut straight from the protests into Jeff Daniels having a bit of a graphic personal moment is still a mystery.
