It’s not every day that we get to see former president Bill Clinton take over for current President Barack Obama during a press conference on tax policy. Making things even weirder, Obama’s excuse for ditching out was that he had to go to a Christmas party. After watching the press conference a million times (it’s that bizarrely addicting, see for yourself here) we have dissected it into it’s 10 most awkward parts. From the top ...

and very memorable as well. To see the two greatest presidents of our generation brought on butterflies.

6. Look I know tax cuts for the rich are revolting

but we need to get those unemployment benefits extended. This is a matter of life and death for many folks out here.

for anyone denied coverage or who's premiums have jumped ahead of the new laws being enforced. That can be, and sometimes is just as urgent as getting an unemployment check.

We can sacrifice now,or we can sacrifice a lot more later - such as risking a double dip recession; and the funding of social security. (In which case, those of us without insurance will not be able to afford the mandated insurance premiums anyway; unless we....you guessd it..are basically unemployed/well below the poverty line - just a note.)

Bohner had signaled that if it came down to the wire; he would extend the unemployment benefits. That means he could be pushed on it. Obama and several others didn't even try to do so.

It is a rock and a hard place,but the point is that it didn't have to be. As far as we (and several politicos) can tell.

18. I agree with you, plus: anyone denied UE benefits, with no

job immediately becomes eligible for Medicaid, Food Stamps, Welfare money maybe, not sure but seems like we couldn't leave people to starve in the streets, and all the above would cost as much or more, and invoke wads of paperwork by bureaucrats. Wads. So the GOP is wrong, wrong, wrong, as usual. I am not sure of my facts here, but UE bennies are a stimulus and little cost to a society that is working for the common good.

I think President Clinton and President Obama will go down as the two greatest presidents not only of this generation but in the history of the nation. It takes many decades after they leave office to look back on their accomplishments.

14. I almost (not quite) reached the same level of disgust I felt for W.

As an Obama supporter (I worked the phones) and two time Clinton voter this a a very new feeling for me. It was beyond bizarre and a tag team that disgusted me. I will never view either one the same again. For me a real game changer.

17. Clinton said all the right things for Obama....no way was he going

to say Obama was wrong in this deal....otherwise...he wouldn't have had the stage...IMO it was pathetic....but it took Sanders off the news....not a word this morning...it's all about the tag team.
