There was something stirring about watching Bernie Sanders engage in his filibuster. Not the bogus filibusters that the GOP has relentlessly deployed over the past two years. No, Sanders offered the real thing. Real rhetoric, real passion, real indignation. Not artifice, not calculation, not capitulation. Instead, it was old school, just like the man himself.

1. Being and Independent gives Bernie the ability to be who he is.

An AUTHENTIC Advocate for the Middle Class and Poor.
He is not hamstrung by DLC Centrist Third Way Philosophy
(which compels one to have loyalty to Big Business and
Wall Street over the needs of Middle Class and Working
People.)

As much as it kills me to say it. The Republicans
keep winning because of AUTHENTICITY. They really
believe that RW Stuff that sends Liberals like me
into orbit. Republicans are the Party of Big Business
and the Rich. They have never pretended to be the
party of the Middle Class.

Bernie Sanders represents what Authenticity looks
like from the left. For us "older ones" stirs fond
memories and an abounding respect for Bernie Sanders.
I can only hope he touched some people's consciences.

Authenticity can only show through when you really
believe in something so deeply. There is a
shortage in DC.
