15. She would be run out of politics ...
ANY D would be run out of politics for it, frankly ...

The media lets the right wing make Nancy Pelosi out to be some massive evil characture while they try to paint Boehner as some kind of average guy ...

More of the same ...

14. Who, with adequate credentials, can answer this ??
My own notion is that Boehner's emotional reactions are stemming either from some physical disorder (endocrine, whatever) or from something in the Physician's Desk Reference (the compendium of all psychiatric disorders). Perhaps I am wrong. But something is needed to explain it, I think.

Are there any health care professionals out there who could weigh in with ideas?

18. Now THERE is someone who needs to "man up".
It's gonna be interesting.

As the President said, now he'll have to actually GOVERN instead of being a bomb-thrower from the sidelines. It's easy to criticize and insult and posture; now it's his turn to PRODUCE.

25. If Boehner was actually able to grasp what life is like for those who have been institionalized,
he would truly have a subject to cry about. John Boehner now has every advantage in the world, yet there are millions in this country who are poor, sick, disadvantaged, and who have no one to advocate for them...and the Republicans just pretend like those citizens don't exist. Those are the people that Lesley Stahl should be concentrating her time on.

Boehner gets very emotional, yet Mitch McConnell never shows any emotion at all...his face is a mask. It's quite telling that the two biggest representatives of the Republican party show emotions in the extreme.

Now, that's scary.

22. my guess is that with the problems we have as a nation
and the Republican's inability to solve them Boehner is going to need a boxcar full of tissue. I also think that after a while this tendency to turn on the water works will get old with the American people who have way more to cry about than a powerful politician who doesn't get his way.
