Hundreds of worker hours spent on creating TERROR ALERT graphics gone to waste. Ratings back down.

Demand arrests to avoid eating crow.

9. Literally, "It does me pain"
generally used to mean "I'm sorry" (from what I remember of my German classes). Hope that helps. :)

2. I'm still laughing at this
But it is pretty serious underneath it all. These things were in place for TWO WEEKS before anyone took official interest.

At least it suggests the general public isn't as paranoid as one might think.

3. Well, let them keep at this shit and there will be soon.
This whole fiasco has broadcast the idea that its possible to put bombs under major bridges and leave them there for weeks without anybody noticing. Its a dry run for a real terror attack, done for free, and broadcast on national TV.

4. Thanks to the news media.

Let's face it, they were hoping for the worse. They were reporting it as a worse case scenario before getting any real information on the situation. If anyone should be charged with creating a mass panic, it's them.

5. Yes, I completely agree.
I don't fault police at all for approaching it cautiously, but just the fact the media couldn't wait a bit to see what it was before screaming "terra!" really gets me.

6. The corporate media has cried "WOLF" so many times....
that when there ever is an actual attack no one will listen to them. How many times in the past year has the corporate, lap-dog media reported suspicious events. Terror cells in Florida....that turned out to be a bunch of losers without two nickels to rub together. Again in Florida: a suspicious tank truck at an airport....the drivers of which lost their sense of direction and made a wrong turn. "Lite Brite" terror devices in Boston. Strange odors in Manhattan.....like THAT'S unusual! :eyes:

How can the American citizenry take them seriously anymore? People will just ignore them until......the time comes when they SHOULDN'T ignore them and then it's too late. Well done, corporate media, well done. :sarcasm:
