Stephen Colbert to Auction Celebrity-Autographed Cast for Charity


NEW YORK (AP) -- Stephen Colbert will auction the cast that helped mend his broken left wrist to benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund.
The cast will be auctioned on eBay after Thursday night's "The Colbert Report," Comedy Central said Wednesday. It has been signed by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, CBS "Evening News" anchor Katie Couric, NBC "Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams, Fox News "The O'Reilly Factor" host Bill O'Reilly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., NBC "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert and White House Press Secretary Tony Snow.

there isn't one autograph there I'd want in my collection (if I had one to begin with ;) ) but the fact that it's the cast from Colbert's shattered, mutilated wrist should bring in some bucks.

I'm surprised that he didn't start a charity to stamp out "wrist violence" and Hollywood's glorification of said "wrist violence", though. :rofl:

I hope he raises a ton of money for The Yellow Ribbon Fund though. He's a good man. :applause:

3. Let's not forget what happened with his painting

It hit a million dollars in just an hour of bidding and had to be removed. I assume the same will happen with his cast.
