The Bolivian government said on Monday it will enhance coordination with all bordering countries to step up its fight against drug trafficking.

"We are strengthening our relations with the neighboring countries, such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay. The main goal is to suppress drug trafficking with coordination, support and information among the countries," Bolivia's Interior Minister Sacha Llorenti said at a press conference.

Llorenti praised the country's anti-drug police and the Public Persecutor' s Office in Santa Cruz for destroying 281 cocaine factories in less than 48 hours.

Llorenti added that two drug traffickers were detained on June 28 in coordination with the Colombian police, and one of them was extradited to Colombia.
