He really believes in himself, but not so many others do.

They want Obama to do a Bush and be emotional and shit.
He's mad that Obama isn't politicizing this would-have-been-attack
anymore than he is. Once again, Obama fails to meet expectations
from others on how he should feel, talk, act and think.

So sad for Mr. Tingle up my leg. :(

7. TY Frenchie - you expanded enough that I got the gist.
Original op didn't express what the show was about, so I couldn't follow his track.

13. Intriguing how such a cruel, clueless person as George W. Bush cried at the drop of a hat.
I much prefer our intellectually cool and thoughful President Obama. It is par for the course for our corrupted media to want him to show more emotion. I call bullsh*t on them all!

31. Frenchie, tis unwatchable. But Tweety did refer to the Shrub as Mr. Magoo tonight.
As horrible as the show is as a whole, I had to laugh a little at that.

3. He's been annoying as long as I've been watching him...
My viewing of his show has dropped dramatically, he's got to have one heck of a guest I'm interested in for me too watch him anymore.

He just doesn't shut up, he's incredibly rude and thinks he's some sort of "genius", he's average in intellect at best, (and I don't see "best" in him that often)...;)

Edited on Tue Jan-05-10 05:28 PM by flpoljunkie
We must demand a higher standard from the main stream media-which would include calling out lies, not letting them go unchallenged.

The mercurial Tweety is not worth watching. He soon bitterly disappoints.

I am listening to Thom Hartmann online who will be followed by Rachel Maddow at 6PM ET at the link below while also watching a captioned CNN.

26. Watching the show now... he's letting Puke Cannon affect him with the Tough Guy talk
When Puke Cannon bragged about being in the Nixon administration and actually saying that the Nixon administration was "well organized", Tweety tried to one-up him with how Obama should be like some micromanaging mayor sniffing up everybody's butts.

Puke Cannon is a shameless fuck-up and Tweety needs to find another drinking buddy.

27. I thik the White House is going to take that exchange quite seriously
Mark my words - the next time we have some terrible event, President Obama is going to be before the cameras in a flash.

As I watched Tweety and the other two I had to agree that Obama was slow to get before the American people. It's what presidents do when there's an emergency. And believe me what happened on that plane headed for Detroit was about as serious as it gets.

Every time he holds back until the best information is available, he's going to be attacked for not caring. It's not a fair deduction but that's what people will hear over and over.

Americans aren't a population that embraces nuance. It's just the way it is and I'd bet a lot that he's gotten the message. I think that because of the way he spoke today. He was firm and laid it on the line and then didn't take one damn question from the press. It was excellent. We just need that tone every time.

32. I don't think he should change anything.
I think President Obama will continue to manage issues the same way he has. There is no reason for him to change, he will be attacked for reacting and he will be attacked for not appearing to react so to bad for those individuals that have to have a visceral presentation to feel like something is being done. The last 8 years have ruined this country with over the top antics by politicians.

Americans will grow accustomed to a reasoned response to issues it will take time.

33. "so to bad for those individuals that have to have a visceral presentation"
You aren't a politician are you. It's an election year, MM, and Obama is a savvy guy. He knows that the November election is on the line. There's not enough time for Americans to grow accustomed to a reasoned response. Obama understands that.

There's a reason why football has overcome baseball in popularity in America and slam bang entertainment makes the big bucks. And it doesn't matter that we like a president who is more tempered in his approach. He has to appeal to a wider array of personalities. It's crap on a platter but it is what it is and there's no choice but to give the masses what they crave. He did it today and he'll do it every time from here on out. Mark my words.

30. Rarely watch anymore, but I am today. And I'm about to throw my TV out the window.
Does that man ever go back and watch one of his broadcasts on tape?

The fact that he continues to spew as he does would suggest, that no, he does not.
