... see that clock on the mantle in the photo with Michelle?

I dont know what it is with the White House clocks (there are at least two like that) but I cant help but marvel at the history they've seen in their time. One of them goes back to Thomas Jefferson. Think of all of those Presidents ... all of the people .... the changing faces .... the fashion .... the times of stress .... the times of jubilation .... and those little clocks keep ticking away.





(Different clock here, but you get the idea....)



(And I dont care IF she was a Republican, Nancy's puff sleeves are DIVINE! lol)

This one is from 1885, same fireplace...

9. What always amazes me about WH photos of this administration is the diversity of the folks who serve
there. The white males in suits served by white females has given way to a beautiful representation of who our country really is -- folks with East Indian surnames, Latinos, folks of all ages and backgrounds. Love it!
