Steele has spent more than he has raised at RNC
This is the key phrase buried in Dan Eggen's juicy article in today's WP:

Steele also has come under fire for his management of the organization's finances. The RNC had more than $22 million on hand when he arrived last year, but is down to less than $10 million, despite raising a record $96 million during that time, records show.

In other words he has spent $108 million and taken in $96 million. The only mystery is why he still has a job.

4. They screwed themselves
They had to get a black man but they didn't realize they needed the right black man. They picked an idiot......ha..ha..ha..

He has absolutely "NO" wins in anything

He tried to win the youth vote by trying to speak hip...Epic Fail
He is supposed to raise more money than he spends....Epic Fail
He was supposed to garner more black votes....Epic Fail..

They can't get rid of him because then they will appear racist instead of firing someone who is an "Epic Failure"!!

So in their minds, they could get any random black guy.

11. It's clear why he still has his job
They want to maintain a little bit of color in the party. It was no coincidence that he was elected chair right after the first black President was elected.

25. Steele is a horrible person. I cannot imagine he would use his office
to spend that amount of money even though he is the token AA in the rethug party. He has no darn morals, what an ass!

Might I remind my fellow Dems that Steele's action is so unprogressive, would you want someone pretending to be a Dem and do the same thing?

Steele is effing unscrupulous, just like most rethugs!
