Biden: May jobs report will be strong
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday predicted the upcoming May employment report would show a much larger number of jobs created than in the previous month, when 290,000 jobs were added.

"It is going to be well beyond that this time," he told a Democratic Party fund-raising event in New York.

Analysts polled by Reuters forecast May's employment report will show 513,000 new U.S. jobs were created. The closely watched data is scheduled to be released on Friday.

4. I wish he hadn't said that
Master of sticking his foot in his mouth of all people.
Unless he has some secret info about the BLS numbers, or the Administration is doing some fancy footwork with the numbers over there...

9. it sure did.....
I think it's easy to forget that, as the guy in the admin charged with oversight of the Recovery Act, what the job market is doing is something he's intimately familiar with.

Biden says some crazy things, but he's no fool. Given how important job growth is for the administration, if HE says the report will be good, you can bet that it will be.

11. All he is doing is reflecting the consensus of economists.
Economists expect there to be large gains, even outside the Census. They low-balled it last time and this time will be better.
