Assert Your Democratic Influence on Other Blogs
I am new to this blog, and I don't want to turn attention away from it. However, there are other blogs where people go to look at opinions from both sides. I try to balance perspectives on other blogs that have a right leaning influence. I would hope some of you would do the same. Heck, I go and post on FOX news all the time to get my point across.

This election cycle is going to be difficult. We need to work together and get our perspectives out there.

Take this blog on Newsvine about Obama and the "blurry economy". http://politics.newsvine.com/_news/2010/07/16/4689183-obama-builds-on-a-record-blurred-by-poor-economy

Most of the Republican posters have taken over and suppressed Democratic posters (you get to vote and agree or disagree with posts). The average American coming onto this Newsvine post is likely to see more of the Republican view than the Democratic view.

I know a lot of people don't have time to post to a lot of blogs. Still, if you can, go to Newsvine or FOX news and post your opinion. You never know who you will influence.

2. This is not a blog. It's a forum. Different kind of system.
Welcome to DU.

4. We should use the full spectrum of the media available to us strategically.
blogs, forums, twitter, facebook, other social networking engines, comment sections on e-publications . . . all of it directed interactively at specific message objectives and by interactively I mean not just a bunch of post and run talking points, but a more revealing Socratic engagement with the discourse.

5. I'll be glad to help any DUer who wants to use Wikipedia
Some people get intimidated by Wikipedia's rules and procedures, but it's fairly easy to use with a little practice.

I agree with you about "specific message objectives". One sensible objective on Wikipedia is to get good information into articles that undecided voters will read.

6. It's interesting that Republican poster suppress statistical facts
I think they prefer their warped view of where we are at.
