Hey Newt and Sarah - 10,000 people are killed by guns each year in US-I bet lots of their survivors
are offended by the presence of guns.

How do you feel about letting those victims tell their neighbors who want to own guns that gun ownership is insensitive to their pain and then force them to get rid of the guns or move somewhere else?

4. You want my neighbors to have the power to tell me to get rid of my guns?
I don't think so.

What context is this in, and why should my neighbor be able to force me to get rid of my guns?

7. I'm making an analogy - and your response helps make my point
Indeed - why SHOULD your neighbor be able to force you to get rid of your guns?

And, by the same token, why should the residents of the area surrounding Ground Zero be able to force their Muslim neighbors to move the Islamic cultural center somewhere else?

16. Poor analogy
There is no cultural center there to move. The neighbors already have their guns. See the difference?

up with guns and her handlers have no problems with it. Not eveyone goes into a tizzy fit when they see a gun on someones side. It's funnier than hell to listen to the anti 2nd Amend groups like the Brady Bunch and the VPC.
I do get the OP's point, no one has the right to ban something just because it offends them

26. Thinking of the tens of thousands of innocent lives lost and maimed
due to drunk drivers. Surely there is a bigger, more widespread, more immediate need to take care of that a building. Do you know how many time families of victims have to hear about yet another victim? They get to relive the horror over and over and scant little is done to reverse the trend...and yet another bar is opened. Another child is given access to the alcohol. I think the original analogy holds firm.
