Help me fight off stupid.....
So when I got to work this morning I received an email. Upon opening it I find that one of the owners had sent this to me. We are always in debate here at work over Obama. (We live in Tennessee..) So I thought it might be fun to show them how stupid they can be. Below you will find the email. I found an answer to number 8. I thought maybe everyone here would like to answer one of these and I will take the best answers and compile them all together in a response email that I can reply with. I think it is important to correct them when they are wrong. How bout you? Will you help? Here is the email....

> If George Bush was an idiot would he have:...

1. If George W. Bush had doubled the national debt, which had taken more than two
centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

2. If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years,
would you have approved?

3. If George W. Bush had criticized a state law that he admitted he never even
read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot head?

4. If George W. Bush joined the country of Mexico and sued a state in the United
States to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration, would you
question his patriotism and wonder whose side he was on?

5. If George W. Bush had put 87000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a
moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety
records of any industry because one company had an accident would you have
agreed?

6. If George W. Bush had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium that
would render 87000 American workers unemployed would you support him?

7. If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a TelePrompTer installed
to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said
this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by
smarter men behind the scenes?

8. If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

ANSWER:
This is irrelevant as Laura did play a lot as other presidential wife’s have in the past.

For 15 years, Laura Bush and four female friends have escaped together for a week every summer. They arrived at Mammoth Lakes on July 8, 2001 and a day later came to Tuolumne Meadows Lodge with an entourage of some 25 people, including Secret Service agents, a White House communications team, various aides and several park officials. The group took up about 15 of the 70 cabins at the site.

July 27, 2003 Laura Bush and all her friends arrived at Lake Crescent Lodge in Washington State for a week long vacation in the Olympic National Forest. "I have a group of friends that I grew up with in Midland, Texas, and we hike every summer at a national park," said Mrs. Bush. Yes, she and her friends arrived on Air Force II with lots of Secret Service Agents.

July 23, 2006 Denali National Park & Preserve in Alaska

First Lady Laura Bush arrived in the park by train on July 23rd for a one-week vacation at a private inholder lodge in the Kantishna area. Members of the park staff assisted Secret Service and White House personnel with communications, security and logistics. A small number of rangers from other parks in the region were detailed to Denali to maintain normal operations so that a portion of the parks law enforcement staff could be assigned full-time to augment and assist the Secret Service details. During the week. Mrs. Bush and a small group of friends enjoyed daily hiking excursions throughout the park. On Friday, July 28th, she and her companions traveled to park headquarters to tour the Murie Science and Learning Center, a collaborative venture by Denali, seven other national parks, and several park partners. She later attended a luncheon hosted at the center and greeted park staff and the regional director.
This is the second time in the last couple-three months that LaWa has taken advantage of a western national park for a little "getaway with close friends" whose number, names, relationships, and particularly gender is somehow never mentioned.

In June 2008, First Lady Laura Bush visited Mount Desert Island, Maine with a small group of friends for a brief vacation. She did not plan any public appearances before she arrived, but she was out in the public eye during her visit and met with Acadia National Park superintendent Sheridan Steele.

Laura Bush and her daughters, Barbara and Jenna, traveled to Africa in 2007, where they went on safari. Yet her trip was regarded as an "official" visit and included several public events.

9. If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90%
and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

10. If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would
you have approved?

11. If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly
formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically
significant gift, would you have approved?

12. If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of
his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

13. If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have
approved?

14. If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent
"Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

15. If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who
cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

16 .If George W. Bush had stated that there were 57 states in theUnited States ,
would you have said that he is clueless.

17. If George W. Bush would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute
speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in
Texas , would you havethought he was a self important, conceited, egotistical
jerk.

18. If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de
Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de
Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in
embarrassment?

19. If George W. Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him
for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoes as proof of what a dunce he is?

20. If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree
on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

21. If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over
millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing
widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what
happened on 9-11?

22. If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the
Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would
you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and
incompetence?

23. If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to
him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America ,
would you have approved.

24. If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even
though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

25. So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and
impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 15
months -- so you'll have two years and nine months to come up with an answer.

26. Every statement in this email is factual and directly attributable to Barrack
Hussein Obama. Every bumble is a matter of record and completely verifiable.

11. Agreed ...
Even though the owner started the conversation, be very careful in responding to this e-mail, especially at work ... on a work computer.

If your answers piss off one of the owners, you will have no recourse. you have no 1st Amendment rights in the workplace.

3. 4 In reality, Obama Admin has cracked down on Illegal Imm.
much harder than Bush ever did. He's given more money to the border patrol. Sent more men to guard the border. There also have been a much higher number of workplace raids.

so that's just complete bullshit. He went against that Arizona law, because it's the same fucking law that the Nazi's passed against the Jews and we don't do that shit in America.

5. We've been down this path many times before with low-post count OPs.
Do your own work. If you're genuine about being here, you should be able to answer this for yourself.

13. "Share these talking points with everyone".... in other words....

Get these posted on this web site in such a way as to not have the post deleted.

This is typical low-post-count troll behavior, that's why it is being questioned.

Entire books have been written on GW's verbal misspeaks. 365 day calendars were sold with daily Bush babbles.

Seriously, does anyone really believe that Obama didn't know how many states there were? Seriously?

12. And if Barack Obama had taken...
a $269 billion dollar surplus with a projected $5 trillion dollar surplus over the next 10 years and turned it into a $5 trillion dollar debt, and doubling the national debt, what would you say? If he decided to fight two wars, pass a trillion dollar taxcut, and a trillion dollar Medicare prescripiton bill, without paying for any of them, what would you say?

If he crashed the entire economic system by lack of oversight and permitted terrorists to blow up one of our cities, in the worst attack since Pearl Harbor, and left his predecessor a $1.3 trillion dollar deficit, what would you say?

20. #1 is erroneous.
The national debt was 5 trillion when Bush entered office in 2001 and 11 trillion when he left in 2009. Now, it's 13 trillion.

Bush increased the debt by 220% in eight years, it has increased by 18% since Obama took office.

Tell them they're fucking idiots who can't manage sixth-grade math.

22. Four Monster Republican Lies on Their Economic Ineptitude
Republicans come in a distant second to Democratic economic accomplishment see: http://bureaucountydems.blogspot.com/p/eco ...
and lay claim to being economic wizards.

They explode the National Debt. see:http://bureaucountydems.blogspot.com/p/nat ...
and lay claim to being fiscally responsible.

They CRUSH job creation see: http://bureaucountydems.blogspot.com/p/job ...
and claim to understand how to control the business cycle.

They have been in charge when 9 of the last 10 recession have occurred see: http://bureaucountydems.blogspot.com/p/his ...
and claim to be experts on the economy

Democrats have the record, the facts and history on our side. Republicans have fear, fubar and falsehood on theirs. When they win, working people lose. And that's how they like it.
