Just heard on Tweety's show the question is will there be a rematch in 2012 with her and Scott Brown. Now that Brown is in some trouble

1. Coakley couldn't fight her way out of a wet paper bag last time
She actually went on vacation during the campaign season. Not smart.

We need a fighter, not more of the same.

11. Not an interim campaign this time. Will be over the summer. She should be ok.
However, I like her where she is. Hopefully one of the congressional reps or state reps will step up.

12. It's not the length of the campaign, but the character of the campaigner that matters
She was abysmally out of touch with the electorate.

It was embarrassing.

7. Mike Capuano would be a MUCH better candidate. He has real appeal and he's a FIGHTER.

9. Coakley would have won if she had just campaigned for votes and not
taken it for granted she will win.

Ted Kennedy who was most loved always campaigned for votes.

21. But now she's tainted with that humiliating loss, and her personality won't change. Capuano FIGHTS!

17. Anybody would have been a better candidate than she was in January.

Now, we need somebody who remembers the state does not stop at I-95. I am still not convinced Capuano is this candidate. I hope I will be convinced because I like his ideas. (Though I am unhappy about his comments concerning Pelosi. It was not helpful).

14. There was no Republican on the ballot
He was a write in.

Why would Tweety think that she would be the likely Democrat to run - when there is not a single official Democrat in the state who is not willing to say that she ran a terrible race?

the GE. There were debates, that she won clearly and she campaigned more for this election she did in January.

He won his place on the ballot by a write-in campaign during the primary.

once she won the primary. She would be better next time (she was better this time), but she is not my favorite.

19. I still remember her for freaking out during the "Boston bomb scare" over Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
"It had lights and wires, it looked very sinister" was basically what she said.

And then during the Democratic primary for the Senate seat, she said her foreign policy experience was that she had relatives living in other countries.

Capuano was by far the better choice for that seat - a true liberal from the House who voted against the PATRIOT Act and who would've fought every step of the way for that Senate seat, and NOT gone on vacation or acted like shaking hands with people was beneath him.

Frankly, I hope Capuano runs in 2012 and wins. Voters obviously approve of the job Coakley is doing as Attorney General so she can stay right where she is and not fuck up another Senate run for us.
