The Real McCain

by BooMan
Mon Dec 20th, 2010 at 05:32:43 PM EST

I actually enjoy watching the pundits on my teevee trying to figure out why John McCain is acting like a far-right nutjob with anger problems. A lot of us told y'all that John McCain was a guy with absolutely no principles who had anger problems.

I like watching these clowns figure out that McCain is a hack. It's fun to see them discuss the fact that McCain was never really a social moderate. But it's a little tiresome that they insist on believing that something changed. McCain may be a little more angry and have a few more grudges, but nothing has changed. He's always been a deeply damaged individual who is more interested in settling scores than in helping anyone. John McCain wants power so he can blow some shit up and make his enemies feel the full measure of his wrath. He wanted Sarah Palin so he could look at her ass on the campaign trail. He's really not a complicated man. He never was. He was a brat before he was captured. After he was set loose he was merely a brat with a sympathetic story he could use to trade-up in wives and launch a political career.

The best way to think about John McCain is with contempt. It doesn't matter what he is saying this week. All that matters is that he makes the right people angry.
So, no START Treaty for you!

1. I have a story.....

He is not just angry - I think he's got severe psychiatric problems. Get this - I found out about this from somebody who was high up in the Obama campaign and said Obama had told him this story personally.

Tom Coburn, obviously not one of our guys, was holding up some legislation that he felt was his responsibility to hold up because of spending and earmarks. Say what you will about Coburn, but it is a matter of principle with him and he doesn't do the earmark thing. Anyway, Obama (still in the Senate at the time) was at the gym with Coburn and as they were leaving (already dressed) John McCain walked up to Coburn and without so much as a word of warning literally charged at Coburn and got within an inch of his face and was screaming at him about the bill being held up (had McCain pork in it) with every four-letter word imaginable. Coburn backed up and Obama was trying to be diplomatic ("John, John,....really...we can talk about this.") McCain told him it was none of his business and he turned around and picked up a stunned Coburn by the collar and slammed him against the wall. Coburn kicked at McCain and then literally decked the MF on to the floor and told him if he so much as looked at him like that again he would do it again. McCain stood up and walked away saying, "You've got a pretty solid left, Tom." They haven't been friends since. However, Obama and Coburn (friends before) still stay in touch on a regular basis. The irony here, of course, is that Obama and McCain ended up in the general election in '08. Do you have any doubts how Coburn voted in the privacy of the polling booth? I swear - this is a true story.

McCain is a very troubled man.

2. Not surprised.
I believe that story 100%. We see how he behaves in public. Imagine what he's like in private!

3. I don't doubt McCain's out of control rage, but I wonder how he, with his
physical inability to raise his arms even to his own shoulder level, could have actually picked Coburn up by the callar and slammed him against the wall. I mean, McCain has to have help combing his hair because his arms are crippled!

4. The real McCain is an ego inflated jackass that is bordering on, if not already
insane.

When he took over Barry Goldwater's seat, Goldwater thought the country was about to get screwed/ He called McCain every negative name in the book, and felt McCain was little more than a crook and a charlatan, (basically something McCain has shown he is).

Goldwater and I would agree on very few things, but he called it as he saw it, and as far as McCain was concerned, he saw an asshole that was little more than someone who had several Silver Spoons in various orifices.

McCain has lived off of the government since the day of his birth; he received a legacy appointment to Annapolis, was Medically retired as a Captain(O-7), from the Navy, receiving a hefty pension; he receives his Senate pay package...and let's not forget SS. His entire life is wrapped around the "government largess", without a break from the time he was born.

It is extremely difficult to find anyone else that even comes close to a McCain when it comes to taking the government for all he can. He is a mean and despicable individual that has a heart of stone that pumps ice water through his arteries. A very nasty barely human being...x(

5. According to a McCain biography, as a child he was given to
such severe temper tantrums that the only way to 'bring him down' was to douse him with ice water. Apparently nothing has changed.
