A reminder: "one of the greatest military blunders in recent US history".

Just think, we would have had Osama Bin Laden a few months right after 9/11 instead of a few months right before the 10th Aniversary.

Bush Jr. would have gone down as the greatest president ever even if he tanked the economy.

We probably would have had no excuse to go into Iraq and would have been out of Afghanistan.

And Bush wants us to thank him?

:puke:

BTW the aftermath:

Meanwhile, the Taliban and al-Qaeda had not given up. A US Senate report concluded that the failure to capture bin Laden "laid the foundation for today’s protracted Afghan insurgency and inflaming the internal strife now endangering Pakistan."<11> Al-Qaeda forces began regrouping in the Shahi-Kot mountains of Paktia Province throughout January and February 2002. A Taliban fugitive in Paktia province, Mullah Saifur Rehman, also began reconstituting some of his militia forces in support of the anti-US fighters. They totaled over 1,000 by the beginning of Operation Anaconda in March 2002. The intention of the insurgents was to use the region as a base area for launching guerrilla attacks and possibly a major offensive in the style of the mujahedin who battled Soviet forces during the 1980s.

1. We need to keep posting threads on Tora Bora. Normally I would say
this has been posted before, but not in this case.

Everyday we need to get this out there. People need to know the truth about how Bush set OBL free.

3. Plus, OBL was residing at the Abottobad compound for 5-6 years
That means he had been there since 2005 or 2006, which was within the first half of Bush's second term. If their torture policies provided all the intelligence that enabled OBL to be found and killed, then why didn't Bush/Cheney do it themselves on their own watch?
